 It never hurts to apply. Everyone is in a different financial situation. I don’t see a stigma with asking for help to get your child the best care you can get for her. I am going to apply soon as I being the Grandmother raising her... I would rest in peace knowing if we bow out early and we probably will that...... she will have medical coverage for anything she may need. Some may feel this is charity ,but I don’t think so . I paid into this fund as did her Mother and Father and my husband . We are only asking for some of our own money to make sure this child can have the best after we are gone. Different strokes for diffrent folks... but all with the same objective. Help our children be as healthy and comfortable in there life when  you are gone as well as when you are here. Just an Opinion!! Cheryl
