TeresaMy daughter (SWCAH) took sodium chloride as a supplement to her fludrocortisone from when she was 11 weeks old until she was about 26 weeks old. Over this time, her dosages decreased from 6mls daily (normally given 3times a day) to 3mls a day, as her body started responding to the fludrocortisone. We gave it to her in a syringe just before her milk. We’d put it to the side of her mouth and towards the back so she could just swallow it straight down to try and get rid of the strong taste. It was difficult when she was little but it was easier than trying to give it to her in her milk as then there was just too much salty liquid to get into her!!
