My son was on a very large dose of sodium chloride 44 ccs a day.  I gave it to him 4 times a day (11cc’s each time).  First it was in his formula then in his milk.  He started at 4 days old and this continued until he was about 6 1/2.  He still needs his salt but table salt and salty foods have been working okay for him.
