MeganThat is so classic!
They deny that taking steroids affects the stomach lining when it is a kid taking them everyday, BUT when a child accidently takes a larger dose they say they’re worried about ruining the stomach lining!!! It’s hard to follow their reasoning.
I know you can’t generalise for everyone, but I am inclined to believe that it does cause problems to the stomach. I have to take a proton-pump inhibitor medication (omeprazole) to give me relief from stomach pain/burning.
The first time I remember feeling this burning, gnawing kind of stomach pain was when I was about 17, but I didn’t think to mention this to my endo. I am sceptical though, that he would have admitted its connection to CAH/medications anyway, like often happens when you mention peripheral symptoms to them. However this was many years ago and I would hope that current endos consider these types of symptoms more seriously.
