Thank you Elizabeth. My 2 year old daughter has Medicaid through the state of SC due to the fact that she is a special needs child. For SC, parents income is not taken into consideration for special needs children, so I was wondering if my neice would qualify for something like that for GA. For my situation, having my daughter on Medicaid has helped tremendously. Our private insurance through my employer acts as our primary insurance, and then Medicaid is the secondary. Just due to the number of medications that my daughter takes, having Medicaid secondary is saving us over a hundred dollar a month in copays. That is not to mention the copays on her physician visits also, which average 2 visits per week. Thanks so much!
