Margaret we have been through this too.  As soon as results don’t make sense the first question/accusation asked ’are tablets being taken properly?’  My son’s levels have been out for a couple of years. When they started doing 24 hour profiles in hospital (pre every dose and then 2 hourly) of cortisol and 17 OHP levels they discovered that his body was metabolising the medication very rapidly and indeed he was taking all his meds on time.  Sometimes results would show that the cortisol levels would go up after taking his meds as well as the 17 OHP levels, they have no answers but have seen him put the tablets in is mouth and done major blood testing after.  I am sure you are angry that they have asked this but I suppose they have to make sure as they don’t know their patients personally so feel the need to ask. Hope all goes well and good luck!
