Cushingoid is a fancy way of saying ’puffy’ (particularly in joint areas).  One of the risks of over-medicating someone with CAH is that they’ll "puff out".  The goal is for us to receive enough hormone replacement (and other drugs) to balance out our adrenal system without causing negative side effects, like getting puffy.  Hope this helps.  Best, Eric
