You and your Mom are in my thoughts and prayers Bets.  I know that she is in a very special place now, one without pain and the shoulda, woulda, coulda’s that we cope with out of guilt everyday.  They are all fantasy phrases anyway.

I am so glad that you both had the time to mend your lives and that you were able to become very close toward the end.

It is very much a shame that she didn’t have all the support that we have nowadays, but it sounds like she did the best she could with what little they knew about CAH back then.  It also sounds like you held no grudge against her for what she didn’t know.  From what I know of you, you were truly an incredible and forgiving daughter.
