JudyI’m glad that you found some useful information in my posting. I am here anytime that you need to just talk. I have so much respect for you to be the primary care giver for her. I’m only 39 and find it very difficult at times. I can’t imagine raising a grandchild. But my mother always says that God makes grandparents better parents. They make all the mistakes with their children and then no better with the grandchildren. I don’t mean to get all religious on you but yesterday when I was sitting in church we had a visiting priest saying the mass. His sermon was like he was speaking directly to me. He spoke of God’s love and how the greatest of this is patience. He said that in todays busy world that patience is not always an easy thing to accomplish. He said to take it one day at a time and to just try and be a little more patient each day and that eventually we will get there. That doing the best we can is all that anyone can ask. That we should only have the same expectations of ourselves because that is all God asks of us.
Made a lot of sense to me and certainly made me feel better.
