re: adults with SWCAH

I think we have a lot to thank todays CAH adults for!  It is true that a lot do have problems from overtreatment of steroids during childhood but as pointed out, cortisone only became available in the 1950’s and it was unknown for many years the optimum dose required for someone with CAH.  I feel todays children’s doses are more fine tuned (due to the testing now available and the knowledge obtained from research studies of the older population).   I hope this will mean that the problems suffered are fewer as this knowledge increases.
