Dear Anon too,

You talked about " medical care" ?  I have to give the doctors a quick lesson on what CAH is in the first place before they can even give medical care. I am thankful that they have their medical books handy and the Internet to. Some doctors do know a little bit which is a plus. I did ask if I was vomiting but he then asked "what did I take the prednisone for? " I reply for the CAH and then he got it. Other doctors don’t know anything about CAH. The admitting doctor asked me to tell him about CAH because he wasn’t familiar with it. It’s a great hospital but people just don’t know that much about CAH and I’m lucky they listen to me. CAH is just something that was a page in a medical textbook. So you got doctors that aren’t familiar with CAH and now you got to wait for the Endos on call. I have a great Endo but unfortunately he isn’t one of the Endos on call at my two local hospitals. Well..the two Endos on call? from personal experience don’t know that much about CAH and don’t have the caring attitude to go the distance for someone that does have CAH. My own Endo that is just out of this world wonderful is unfortunately over an hour away from the local hospitals. Medical care is an adventure with CAH and I doubt a show like Inside Edition will do it justice but at least a donation for research would be a nice gesture : )

In the past I’ve had my medical care compromised because the staff was just in a tizzy over someone being born with ambiguous genitals that I had to be the one to tell them that I needed extra cortisone before out patient surgery.

It’s a beautiful day and not a cloud in the sky : )
