Hello Tonia/Anne-Marie,

I am a 26 year old woman living with the classic 21 hydroxylase defficient CAH.  I just wanted to say that I’ve struggled with obesity all my life and just recently learned about the blood type diet myself.  Through my research I found that I am blood type A and should be eating very little meat, etc... well I had become a vegetarian during my teen years and I managed to lose 135 lbs!  Then went back to eating foods that I really shouldn’t be eating and consuming the recommended 2000 calories/day everyone says you should eat, and i gained all the weight back!

Now I’m back to being a vegetarian, and lost 50lbs in the last year!  What I’ve learned and would like to share with you is this: A) Being on Decadron/Florinef will affect your child’s metabolism, I’m sure they’ll be able to do fine with just 1000/1200 cal/day to maintain a healthy weight.  B) Eating right for your blood type will definately help your child have a better quality of life and help manage the ongoing battle with weight. C) I’ve gone to so many nutritionists and they’re all retarted and expensive, I’d recommend going to a herbalist or ayurveda medicine specialist.  They treat the whole body, it’s an old science that dates back over 5,000 yrs.  It’s changed my life and I know it can help your child get the best life ever!

Wishing you the best,

Caroline
