Annie - I was diagnosed at age 19 - I’m 44 now. You may find that once on meds for CAH you have a lot less problem with the PCOS. I went to the hospital several times before meds (and when not taking them) with symptoms of what I thought was an appendicitis - which turned out to be cysts in my ovaries - they are hellaciously painful! One time I stayed for a day until the largest one burst - anyway - I don’t have nearly the problem that I did before diagnosis. Vary rarely any pain - and then only for an hour or less (once a month).
