Dental Health and cortef
Feb. 10th, 2004   5:57pm

I have known for along time that Cortef should be given with food, but have long since accepted that we just can’t do that at 10pmwith my child sleeping.  When we switched to tablets years ago, Kyle found it easier to just chew up his med.  At 10, we slip it in his mouth and he chews it up without really waking.  I discovered that he has a place in his molar where is has, rotten away, I guess.  the next time he chewed his meds, I looked to see where he chews and there is was...right in that spot.  Is is possible for the meds, if not not completely ingested, to damage teeth by contact?  I realize he is 8 and the culprit is very likely to be poor brushing, but if it is the meds, I don’t want to risk any more teeth being damaged.

thanks in advance for your insight.
