I know exactly what you are talking about.  My 4 month old cah son also has huge cheecks but the rest of his body is not chubby.  I am always wondering if it is from the med’s, but his 17ohp is still high so the dr. says no.  My son is currently on 10 mg a day because we have not been able to get him under control on smaller doses.  When he wakes up at night, when he won’t take a single decent nap, when he is a little extra fussy, when he spits up all the time I am always wondering if it is from the medication or is it "just him"(as you put it).  I too pray that as he gets older I am not constantly wondering if each particular "behavior or stage" is due to the disorder or his medication.

Hopefully as some on this board say, it will get easier as they get older and are able to articulate what they are feeling.
