You’re obviously not dealing with Cornell.  they don’t trust anyone else’s labs.  The first time I went to them they did everything over including the bone age even though he had just had one done.  I don’t know if the 17-ohp takes forever because they’re so careful or if they’re just slow but that’s the way it is over there.
