I can remember sitting in the lecture hall at uni listening to a nursing lecture and they stated then that over three quarters of the room would have gall stones and probably not know about it. I can also remember having mine out when I was in my early 20’s and there was a girl around 14 or 15 having hers out. I have also nursed several children who have had their out between ages 8 and 15. So it is not always an adult thing but one seems to think of it that way.
