Thank you for your advice.  I have actually asked both of Alec’s endo’s and they do not want to try the florinef yet.  His renin numbers are ok (just tiny elevated). so they still think he is not salt-wasting.  We did DNA testing last week and are awaiting those results from Cornel.  Will this tell us anything additional regarding the possibility of salt-wasting.  Alec is currently taking 10mg/day of the cortef.  His last 170ohp was still over 8000.  This seems to be a high dose for a 4 month old - don’t you think?  We tested 17ohp and his renin again on Thursday - maybe he will be better controlled now -  I pray.  He is such a happy little guy.
