I have had no experience with any other medication other than the Cortef with my kids,  so I am a bit nervous about what to expect when dealing with the prednisone.  I mentioned one more time to my endo about moving the kids to 3x a day dosing as we have been on 2x a day dosing for quite sometime, but she seems to resist this method of dosing.  I suppose her mindset is that we have had trouble for so long getting the numbers in line, that perhaps we are just prolonging the inevitable switch.  My daughter is on 17.5 mg of Cortef daily and my son is on 20mg. 

We have been dealing with alot of muscle aches and complaints and alot of moodswings over the past few months, which our endo has said could be related to under-suppression.   We have also had advanced bone ages on recent x-rays, but she said the results were still within "normal" limits.    Monday I will know more about what the actual results of the labs were as she called me from home on Friday afternoon and did not have the results in front of her.
