The type of meds my kids are currently on..........

Someone earlier in the thread asked which type of Cortef my kids were on.  My kids are both on Cortef 5mg tabs manufactured by Upjohn.  We were part of the group a few years back that were on the Cortef suspension when it was discovered that there was a problem with the thickening agent in the "new" suspension and my kids were not getting the proper doses for quite sometime.  I pushed to get my kids off of the suspension, not our endo at the time because he did not know of any problems going on with the suspension.  We have been trying to get the labs back in line ever since.  We seem to be almost there.

Anyway, I am waiting for a call from the endo at this moment.  She said on a message on my machine earlier today that she had discussed it with the team of other endos, and we may be going to 3x a day on the Cortef instead of switching to prednisone.  If someone else hadn’t brought the 3x a day dosing up, I was going to, after reading all the posts about the success many of you have had switching from 2x a day to 3x a day.  I will also mention the dexamethasone as well-I had totally forgotten about that one altogether.    I’ll keep you posted.  Thanks for all the info and support.
