My 5 yr old son has always been a tough one with sleep.

Since birth, he as slept significantly less than other kids his age. He woke up every hour on the hour until he was 6 months old. With some help, it got a bit better. He was never a good napper.

From age 1-4 we could not get him to bed before about 9:00pm. Last year we finally could get him to a bedtime of 7:30/8:00. He now has a better bed time, but wakes at 5:00am every morning.

We also have a 6 month old who doesn’t have CAH. He is a great sleeper. 12 hours at night and 2 naps a day.

My husband doesn’t tend to need much sleep - he’s just fine on 6-7hrs a night. I need 9 hours (like I ever get it though).

I suspect the Cortef affects our son - he sleeps less when we increase doses. However, he could just take after his Dad more and our baby could be more like me.
