My daughter Loghyn has taken liquid prednisolone and the florinef pill since she was 5 days old.  She loves the liquid . . . it’s real sweet.  She just sucks it right down.  As for her florinef, we just pop it in her mouth & give her a sip of something (water, juice, formula) to swallow it.  She’s been swallowing it whole since she was 5 days old, so she has no problems at all with it!  I wouldn’t see anything wrong with mixing it with something as long as you make sure he eats or drinks it ALL.
