I agree...It will get better.  Our almost 11 yr old SWCAH daughter was on a dose too high for her a couple yrs ago.  We sought a second opinion becasue she looked cushinoid to all of us at home.  When she started 2nd grade she was in good shape.  Then by third grade she was getting pretty chunky.  At the end of 3rd grade         Dr. New lowered her dose from 25mg to 17.5 mg and she dropped weight.  She also starting growing so that helped alot! She went from a girls size 14-16 to what shes in now, a 10-12.  We were pleased to see that medication dosage lowered.  So far no crisis problems and she gets drawn regularly (every 3-6 months) and shes staying on target.
