I do not necessarily agree with rick.  i have a 16 month old daughter with swcah.  she also has an enlarged clitoris, although not to the extent that the hospital thought that she was a girl.  i would not consider an operation for her at all, but i don’t know what i would do if it was more enlarged.  like you i would be more inclined to want her to make her own decision.  yes she may find this difficult when a teenager, but wouldn’t she also struggle with having been operated on and then experience difficulties in adulthood with physical relationships.  i have been told that my daughter will need to be examined again when she is 10 and will perhaps need an operation for menstruating.  perhaps this will be the case for your daughter too and a cosmetic operation could be carried out then too.
