My 7wk old son was diagnosed with CAH but has had absolutly no symptoms. His Endo started him on Cortef at 6wks, after first hoping he was just a carrier of CAH. I feel like I’m going out of my mind waiting for a crisis to happen. He seems too healthy to have anything wrong with him. I’m still so confused about all the symptoms to look for and how to stress dose. I had such a hard time finding the emergancy injection, I called every pharmacy in town and finally had to call the hospital pharmacy which could sell it to another pharmacy.

Any advise for getting him to swallow the cortef? I dilute it in water and use a siringe. He always gags and spits some out. I’m afraid he’s not getting enough in his system.

I feel he is very blessed after reading all the stories here, but very worried thinking he’s still in the calm before the storm.    -Thanks.
