Dana BrownGood Morning Hope!
I am the mom that Louise referred to in her post. My son Connor had it done when he was 2. All went well. They just had us double the morning of surgery and then they gave iv cortisone during surgery. We were only in the surgery center for about 5-6 hours. We doubled his dose the rest of the day, and then went back to normal dosing the next day. We made sure that the doctors were communicating with each other prior to and following the surgery.
If you don’t mind my asking, why are they doing this surgery so soon? I thought the standard was to wait until the child’s 2nd birthday? If you would like you can email me privately.
Good Luck and keep us posted!!!
Dana
