JAYNEIam a SWCAH i was one of the one’s on the Aust. Board about working I am a Chef and i work 50-60 hrs a week. Iam 33 and have been a Chef for 17 yrs. I manage to work f/t and fit in DR’S APPTS it comes down to management. I have never compromised work standards. I know i have a life threating condition but i live day by day that i am lucky to be alive it could be worse. Stuck in bed all day and every day think of kids that have terminal conditions with no chance of survival. We should be grateful that our condition has a name when other conditions might only have afew people in the whole world with the condition. Where as we are lucky that we can talk about it and get info from others on there experiences so don’t dwell on it you are alive. I have not had it easy but i have got on with my life and do something that i love. I also live in ALICE SPRINGS in the Aust. Outback and i manage the heat when it hits 45c for weeks on end. All my friends know about my CAH and so does work and having understanding people around helps. We should be grateful the side effects are hiccups on the road of life I have learnt to live with them and try and have as normal life as i am able too. I have had all the problems associated with CAH so we need to get on and live life and stop been sorry for ourselves as it can only make things worse due to stress. I am sorry if this has offended anybody but i have had friends die around me with cancer at young ages and there is more of a cure for that as we don’t have one. Best thing is to stay positive. "KEEP SMILING IT MAKES PEOPLE WONDER WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN UP TO."
Stay positive and live life
