When our daughter was 2 she had a terrible reaction to a sulfa based medicine (it may have been bactrim).  She broke out in hives all over her body and required epinephrine as her body started to swell.

She suffered terribly from UTI s and faced antibiotic resistance as an infant until she had her surgery.  After her surgery, she has not had a single urinary tract infection.
