The Cortef label that indicates not to give immunizations while on this med, refers to a dose of Corted in excess to what the body produces. Kids who are on Cortef for asthma, allergies, etc  shouldn’t ge the immunizations. However, CAH kids are taking a physiologic dose of cortisol, replacing what the body does not make, therefore those warnings don’t really apply. My twins (16 months) have had all their shots and only had fevers with a few. I usually double dose the dose or 2 after the shots and give Tylenol an hour before we go and every 4 hours for 12 hours or so.
