My daughter is 3 years old and had a UTI when she was 6 mths. old. This was 3 mths. after her vaginoplasty. Then did not have another until a month ago. We thought we cleared it up with antibiotics then 2 weeks later she had another. On antibiotics now again. I’m wondering if this is going to be a chronic problem?? The urologist said it has nothing to do with her surgery. He says that kids are prone to UTI’s at this age due to potty training, not wiping correctly, etc. I just find it hard to believe that the surgery does not have anything to do with this.?????
