Lisa

I am a 23 year old with a classic case of CAH. I am lucky to be alive today. After being out of the hospital for a week I turned blue and almost died. The doctors thought they were going to lose me, my heart stopped beating, the had pretty much given up hope, and now I am here to talk about it. I really hope your son starts doing better. CAH can be a tough thing to live with but I am happy that I have it. It am better off having it than if my sisters would have. Let me know if I can help you in anyway. Oh by the way at times in my life I have had huge cheeks. Once they figure the medicine out hopefully that will go away, but they are something that I have always had. I guess if you think about it I am lucky. My parents probably never would ahve thought that day in the hospital that I would be getting ready to graduate from college 23 years later. Don’t give up hope and please write me if you want.
