Anne-MarieJust reposting to advise for anyone else’s reference that we had word from Ashley’s endo that the blood spots came back between 77 and 173 nmol which is high but not quite as high as the 500nmol results three months ago. Nevertheless he advises we need to raise his hydrocortisone temporarily to get them down. So he advises:
20mg - 6am (was 7.5mg and raised to 10mg)
10mg - 1pm
10mg - 8pm
Florinef stays the same.
I don’t know where the 173 result was because I havn’t had a copy of the results as yet in the post. He has instructed us to raise that to that for two weeks and then run more blood spots to check the results. I’m happy with the fact we’re sticking with hydrocortisone anyway. Just got to get the change in dose to the lady in the school office and we started his doses raises this morning. Blood spot tests really are a boon. I’d highly recommend one of you approaching whatever body you can in the US to get that type of test up and running. It really helps to get results back quickly like this and takes a lot of worry out of the dosing and adjustments to doses.
