LynnTI am still in the midst of sorting all of that out, but Kelly Leight has spoken with them and apparently so have several CAH carriers as well. They are NOT focusing specifically on the CAH carriers at this time but, as I understand it, an interest has developed in this area from all of the response they have gotten.
I just hung up from Dr. Rasmisson’s Assistant - Valinda Fox (is this who you spoke with?). I was referred to someone named Martha Dillon and am expecting a call back from her within the next 10 - 15 mins. She will be screening me for the program and I will know more then.
IF it turns out that this is something that the doctors may be willing to focus on, carriers of CAH or even CARRIERS of anything, would you be interested in checking it out? It’s a start and I am hoping that eventually this will lead to getting answers for medical problems that so many CAH carriers have shared with me. Since it is based out of the West Haven VA Hospital here in CT it may be more convenient for us to participate if they will have us(;>)!!
I have posted before that my OBGYN has stated he was taught in college that carriers may very well exhibit symptoms of an actual disorder or disease. He went on to say that they felt it was even more likely if that person had experienced ongoing stress and was advancing in age.
Not that I’m old or anything but............I guess we have to begin somewhere.
