LynnTA pump for the distribution of cortef? Could you give me the name of the consultants you know of and who is doing the trials in the USA? I would like to look into this further. I don’t really think that the slow/delayed release is going to be able to mimic the circadian rhythm as closely as I would like to see it for our son. In addition, if the older children find themselves feeling overly stressed they may be able to give themselves a little extra cortef immediately to help them cope and get through it.
As far as painful, I think that if we can get my son dosed appropriately throughout the day we may be able to help with the mood swings, growth issues, bone aches, weight issues and maybe even lessen the number of blood draws. If it proves to be successful, it may even eliminate the need for his Lupron shot.
If it does end up eliminating some of these medical procedures and/or medicines, the insurance companies may rule in favor and cover it.
I think anything that has even the slightest chance of improving treatment for our children bares researching.
I will be happy to contact the consultants directly to see what they have found.
Thanks in advance Mary.(:>)
