Anne-MarieI think I’d have to agree with Mary. Also diabetics are getting shots of insulin every day and it isn’t too much trouble to have a needle permanently in. A small child would not cope with that. Half of the kids can’t even cope with blood and blood spots at that age. I mean if shooting up was the only delivery method available --as insulin is, then it wouldn’t matter to the kid, but in the case where parentscan give a drug orally and with less change of infection or discomfort for the child, it doesn’t seem a good idea.
As Mary says, such a liquid would become unstable. We’ve all seen how you have to shake liquid cortef as it is a powder/water in vial job. If powder settles--child gets only water or extremely diluted cortisol fluid on some doses.
