Hi Lynn and Kaye,
I think it was Martha I spoke with. She told me they were studying people who had been exposed to different traumatic events, either as a victim themselves or as a witness. E.g. victims of violent crime, serious injury, war, etc. Having CAH, or being a carrier of carrier of the CAH gene, didn’t seem to have much with what they were looking for. I found that a bit confusing at first, as that is what I thought the study was about.
Admittedly, I did end up losing a bit of enthusiasm for participating, as a result, though I did go through the initial oral screening process. I think we decided I could be a control, if I wanted. Who knows...maybe I’ll still do it just for fun. Thanks!
P. S. Good luck moving, Kaye. Give me a holler when you’re settled!
