I take 25 mg of hydrocortisone /day. 

10 mg early morning, 5 mg afternoon, 10 mg later at night. I understand the reasons behind taking the morning and night dose but I was curious as to the reasons behind the afternoon dose.  Is the afternoon dose just for energy or is there more to it? Sometimes, I don’t take the afternoon dose and I feel great.
