cathyI am unsure about the methods endos measure the ohp levels,do they use different scales. I have 2 boys with swcah and the eldest of them has always been really well controlled, they have always said that his ohp is between 17-20 and when I asked I was told that the level in someone who does not have cah is 10-13 but the last time his bloods were done the level is up at 56. The youngest has not been so well controlled his levels are usually 200-270 but this is because he has also been on anti-convulsants most of the time, and unfortunately this affects how the hc is metabolised we have tried different anti-convulsants but they seem to be all the same. he seems to be doing allright though the only difference I have noticed is that he is one of the smallest in his class but me and his dad are not very tall so i don’t think he would be tall any way, he is just under 5" just now but he is only 14, his brothers are 5"4 & 5"9(does not have cah). We are going to have bloods done on Thursday so we will just have to wait and what comes back.
