To answer your questions, I was on 10 mg. prednisone as a boy.  (I’m not a salt-waster diagnosed at age 4.)  At age 15, I switched to hydrocortisone.  I don’t remember the dose, but now, I’m on 60 mg. daily.  I took my meds 3X daily, the largest dose in the AM.  There was no obvious change in my energy levels or weight.  I’m approx. 2 inches shorter than my father.  My docs believe I would have been his height, or more (my mother has very tall brothers), were it not for CAH.  Hope this helps -- Eric
