It’s hard to explain rapid thoughts. I experienced this after being stress dosed with Dex. Has anyone seen the movie the secret window yet? In one part near the end of the movie the guy is thinking and we can hear it. That is exactly what it’s like. All these thoughts flow into your head but the sentences don’t get finished before something else flows through. The breathing and the heart rate speed up too. It was very hard for me to go through that. Unfortunate for me, the Paxil made me WORSE, after 3 days I ended up in the ER.  I thought I was going to be crazy for the rest of my life, which was horrible in itself.  One of the most scariest things in my life to endure. They gave me clonopin and it worked like a miracle. Then I weaned off the Clonopin though within 2 weeks and I was okay, Thank GOD.

You do become a better person once everything is okay. I don’t know what would have happened if I had remained in that state of mind. I was definately broken. I still have some anxiety but nothing like that. The zanax is okay but only for emergency. I know that people that become dependent on them suffer worse attacks when they try to get off of them. So good luck, and I second Elizabeth’s opinion. You should make sure that you don’t have an underlying problem causing the attacks. The first thing one doc asked me was if I had probs with my thyroid.

I was wondering if you can tell us how much steroid do you take since you had your adrenal glands took out. Take care
