Thanks for your responses...Sorry for not clarifying my son’s 17 OHP levels when I put out the first message... here goes:

July 2003, 2900; Sept 2003 2820; Nov 2003 214 January 2004 1630, March 2004 1714

These are really not so high compared with some of you!  But higher than they are supposed to be.  And, then there’s the November results at 214 ... hum.  My concern over the last couple of days with my 15 year old son is that he may be forgetting to take his med...something I’ve become more suspcious of over the last couple of days.  Usual method is that I put out the day’s three doses in the morning and look to see what’s left as the day progresses.  However, now that he’s in school sports and gone from 7:30 am until 6:30 pm every day, it gets harder to monitor.  (Wish there was a time released hc!)  He puts the noon dose in his backpack (which he’s forgotten) and now I put it in his sandwich bag.   I’ve explained and explained to him that we don’t want to put him on a higher dose if he isn’t taking his meds.  Currently, he’s on 10mg AM, 10 mg Noon and 15 mg PM (was 10 mg PM until last labs)  Trouble is, he knows all the side effects and problems of not taking enough meds and taking too much....getting it through his head is another story I guess.
