I don’t know if he would qualify for in home nursing care.  I would be surprised.  From my own experience with my daughter these last 12 years, except for when she gets sick, she is just like every other kid except she takes her daily meds.  Schools and daycares are generally reluctant to give the emergency injection of Solu-Cortef.  In our case, I was always close enough that I knew I had plenty of time to get there if it was required.  Now, when she was taking her meds 3 times a day, I gave it first thing in the morning and at night and they administered the mid-day dose.  I had to leave it in the prescription bottle and it was kept locked up and they came and got her each day (or as she got older she reported to the school clinic nurse each day) for that dose.  Just remember that for the most part, CAH is just a small part of who your son is.  He can be treated exactly like any other child except in times of injury or sickness.  If either of those situations happen, be sure your day care provider would call you right away.  Enjoy your son, he will be just fine.
