Complications after CVS
Apr. 2nd, 2004   9:23am

I should be lying on my back now so I’ll make it short.

I had a CVS yesterday.  Everything seemed fine at first but in the afternoon my water broke.

From all the genetic counseling I received no one ever mentioned to me that this could also happen.

I’m basically feeling fine. I have heavy bleeding which I was informed was normal, and no contractions for now.

Does anyone have any experience with a situation like this?  Can I hope for the water to refill at this early stage or should I expect the worst?

Another question:  I was told that they will not do a FISH but will have the chromosome results of the baby’s sex probably within a day or so through regular methods.  I’m not really understanding the difference between the two procedures.  Can anyone explain it to me?

Thanks
