SandraHi Anon,
I’m not a doctor but I thought that once your water breaks they want to deliver the baby as soon as possible because of possible infection. In your case I guess it would not be an option since you are only between 10-12 weeks along??? I’m not sure if a leak or a complete water bag rupture would require the same procedure. Either way, I’m sure it would be a serious complication. The body keeps producing amniotic fluid but the infection possibility is what I think doctors worry about. I’m sure they will contact your OB if they haven’t already. Why didn’t they keep you in the hospital for a complication that serious. What did the doctors tell you to expect? I had a CVS and it was never mentioned anywhere that this could happen. How did they do the CVS? Did they do it through the belly or vaginally? Mine was through the belly and I didn’t have any bleeding or cramps or anything really. What did the doctor tell you to expect? I’m sure heavy bleeding is not a good sign either. I hope it works out well for you.
As far as the FISH test... I don’t know what other test they would use to know the sex of the baby so quickly. I am assuming it is something similar.
Please keep us informed on how it goes. I’ll say a prayer for you that all works out well.
