When my daughter had her’s done at 8 months old, she picked up a stomach virus while recovering from her surgery. I never thought about waiting until after the cold and flu season was over to have the surgery done. If I had to do over I would have waited until summer time. The day she came home, I had a family funeral to travel to that was an hour and a half a way while my husband waited for me to drive hour back to discharge her. We got her home and both my husband and I got the stomach virus. Thank God for my mom that came and helped us. I know you are in an "ugly" place now but things will look better once she is feeling better. I would indeed take her back just for a check up. Any fever? I assume she is on antibiotics? Just take one hour at a time. When my daughter gets sick I take one minute at a time. Just remember this too shall pass. But for this minute remember that ANY vomitting and diarrhea is dangerous at any time. Don’t take no for an answer. Take her back and tell them she should be checked for dehydration. YOU are your only child’s advocate. They don’t have to worry, it is not their child. They may keep blaming the why she is vomitting but that is not the point here. You need to find out the "how can we stop this" AND they need to make sure she is not dehydrated. The bottom line is she is not holding her fluids, or food down. Don’t take no for an answer.Laura
