LynnTI was getting very nervous while I was reading your post until I came to the part where your doc put you on meds!!! When your thyroid levels get so bad that you feel drunk you could be dangerously close to going into a myxadema coma. Some docs call it "myxadema madness" because you have confused thinking, slurred speech unsteady walk and many other symptoms that would be associated with drunken behavior.
One of my friends, who is a nurse, warned me about this and then I went on line and searched it.
Are you on synthroid now? You could have hashimoto’s disease being that you seem to switch back and forth between hyper and hypo. Make sure you go to a specialist and get that clarified. Also, did they do an ultrasound of your thyroid?
Another symptom I have (not tied in to thyroid) is that I hyper-metabolize medication. In other words, I wake up during surgery, I need several shots of Novocaine and epinephrine for the dentist and had to have 24 shots of pain meds in my epidural when I had my daughter. Needless to say, they couldn’t keep me completely numb when I had my c-section with my son’s birth. To say the least, it wasn’t very pleasant.
Please be sure to keep on top of this........good health is everything.(;>)
