I feel so bad for y’all going through this and what happened to your friends, it’s tragic. I mean life is just so precious and we need to treasure Every, Every, Every little moment.
Wanted to add that maybe a positive point for all of you with kids that have CAH is that if it weren’t for your kids having a chronic condition such as this then maybe things might be even worse. I mean because of their condition and mine : ) You as parents are better dealing with medicals issues and don’t take no for an answer because you have been learning all along with your own kids. If one doctor doesn’t work, we go to another one with all the while realizing that medicine isn’t perfect nor an exact science.
Like Anne- Marie stated, eating a balanced diet is so much better but wanted to add that I’ve found that it also cost effective on the budget too! Vegetables are a lot cheaper than ice cream and going for a walk is free whereas popcorn and a movie? forget about it. I’m blood type A- so that stuff about how you handle stress is interesting. I do make it a point to work on stress management.
Since I’m adopted, I do wonder about how parents that carry the CAH gene feel . I’m glad that you ladies have been able to find the help that you need and I also wonder about husbands or significant-others because men always say that they are fine but I wonder if they really are?
