Before my son was treated as an infant, he had very dark skin in the genital area and now it same color as the rest of his skin... he is bi-racial (white and hispanic/black).  

Other signs -

weakness, vomiting, dark circles under the eyes, low blood pressure,  hair lost, craves salt and sugars, weight lost.
