My water broke at 29 weeks, and I was on bedrest and IV antibiotics (to prevent infection) for another 2 weeks before my first son was born.  He was still a premie, but lungs were fully developed at 31 weeks already, so we avoided the ventilator, etc.

From what the doctors told me at the time (and what I’ve read), amniotic fluid is continually replaced (and I can attest to this, because even though all of my water was "gone" while on bedrest, every time I’d shift to the side or lift my upper body too high, fluid would come leaking out!);  if they can repair the tear, or if it heals on it’s own, I don’t see why you couldn’t carry the baby to at least closer to full term.

I’ll pray for you both!  God’s blessings
