I was bothered by Betsy’s post, but couldn’t decide if it was worth doing anything about, especially if it simply passed on down the board like so many other posts. I decided to leave it alone since no one complained, but now it’s become the focus of attention.

For those who wish to post links to other sites, please keep in mind that others may find those sites offensive, especially if they promote controversial topics such as masturbation and homosexuality. There are less offensive ways of letting someone know that slight variations in body shape are not abnormal.

That being said, let’s try to respond to things we disagree with, with tact and courtesy. Hateful posts and email may feel therapeutic, but the tend to make the recipient reject your ideas, rather than consider them.

(Oh, and Betsy is who she says she is. She simply has ideas and opinions that are quite different than many of us. So let’s not be making any wild accusations about people.)
